Connie Blackwood-MacLeod is a Positive Adult Contemporary artist in the genre of Jim Croce, Bonnie Rait, Amy Grant, Bryan Adams & Carole King all rolled into thought provoking lyrics and melodies that resonate within you long after shes left the stage.
Connie has been playing to audiences in the Orlando, FL area for the past several years
gaining a following at clubs like House of Blues, 310 Park South, Borders and White Wolf Café. Also a well traveled soul, Connie's music has taken her to Bavaria and Scotland for feature performances and enabled her to sell hundreds of units of original material worldwide.
John Blanche, a two time Grammy winner co-produced her best work to date, "I Wish You Well" at his Longwood studio. This project includes the award winning Ocean Bird video (produced by Arte Tedesco, Monkey Fist Productions & Videography by Jon Rohrer, WEBTV).
After hooking up with Heavy Hitters Publishing, Connie's song "Every Time It Rains" was featured on the daytime soap, "One Life To Live." The song was penned in Ft. William, Scotland as a love song to a place that captured her imagination and heart since she was a young girl. This calling led her to write the movie script "Son of the Sword," with Linda Borden. The story is based on the novel by J. Ardian Lee. The film, currently in production will feature more of her songs. Connie was also asked to write a very special song for another television production called "My Precious Child." Air date is pending.
Also an Actors Equity Association Member, Blackwood-MacLeod performs in theaters and on the big screen. Credits include the film Wiccians Lair & Head Trip (featuring songs on the soundtracks) and From The Earth To The Moon on HBO. Connie hopes to get more principle film roles, but her first passion is her music, performing on stages throughout the States and abroad, local & national radio & television shows, as well as belting out a rousing rendition of the National Anthem at many sporting events
The girl who says she was Born Singing is on her way to creating even more striking songs that will touch your heart and reach deeply into your soul.
